Idle Hack: Spells/Skills
Idle Hack goes by the “classless” ARPG philosophy where a character can be built up and configured however you desire so long as you have the correct attributes to use the items you want. To facilitate this philosophy any character can use any Spell/Skill by adding the Spell/Skill item to their loadout. There are a few different types of spells to consider below:
Books

Books contain the knowledge of Spells/Skills that you use one time and perform a special attack, heal, buff or curse and then can use again once the cooldown time is over. Spells/Skills most often require mana to cast, so consider your maximum mana when building your characters. These are the most typical Spells/Skills that you will come across in Idle Hack.

Pacts

Pacts are passive effects that reserve a maximum amount of mana from your character to receive huge buffs to character stats that are hard to obtain through other items (i.e. Dodge Chance %, Damage Penetration, etc.). If your character does not have enough mana to reserve the Pact will not be used during combat.
Tonics

Tonics are similar to Pacts in that they are passive effects, but instead of reserving mana they reserve health. Because of this, the passive effects are typically very strong and contain many different aspects. If your character does not have enough health to reserve the Pact will not be used during combat.
